Records and Technology

Records Management Team is a component of the Administrative Services Support Unit. Records serves as the repository for criminal histories, public information, fingerprints, photographs, incident and accident reports and all warrants generated by or entrusted to the Petersburg Bureau of Police.

Records team members serve as a liaison with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Virginia State Police, The Department of Criminal Justice Services, Emergency Communications and others for information and data exchange. The Records Management Team manages all of the major technical hardware and software services and systems of the department.
