City of Petersburg Government Offices
Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday
Petersburg, Va: City government offices will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Closed offices include: City Hall, City Hall Annex, Parks & Leisure Services, and Petersburg Public Library.
Petersburg Freedom Support Center will be closed for client services Wednesday, November 21st – Friday, November 23rd.
Offices will reopen during normal business hours on Monday, November 26, 2018.
Blandford Church and The Exchange Building will be closed on November 22nd and reopen on November 23rd. The Centre Hill Museum will be closed on November 22nd and November 23rd.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will close at 2:00pm on Thursday, November 22nd and reopen during their normal business hours on Friday, November 23rd.
Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) Administrative offices and customer service will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd.
PAT Bus service (including Para-Transit) will not service any routes on Thursday, November 22nd and will return to their regular schedule on Friday, November 23rd.
Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) residential recycling and residential trash collections will be delayed one day in observance of Thanksgiving Day. There will be no collections on Thursday, November 22nd.
RED Thursday and RED Friday recyclers will have a one-day delay in recycling collection service due to the holiday. Friday collections will take place on Saturday. Thursday and Friday residential trash collections in Petersburg will occur on the day following your normal scheduled day. Friday collections will take place on Saturday.
