Working Together to Improve South Crater Road

The City of Petersburg is currently studying the South Crater Road (US Route 301) corridor from Washington Street to Rives Road. The objective of the study is to optimize traffic flow, minimize delays, and improve safety for vehicles and pedestrians. As part of the study, the City of Petersburg is seeking the public’s feedback on general corridor conditions, areas of congestion, and safety concerns; desired locations for pedestrian, bicycle, and transit improvements; and any other concerns for the future of the corridor.

Join us for an important meeting on Tuesday June 10th that could benefit you if you live, work, or travel using South Crater Road. Stop by Walnut Hill Elementary School between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM to view displays and learn more about the project. A brief project presentation will occur at 5:45 PM. City of Petersburg staff will be available to answer your questions.
