Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) announced today the launch of Route Shout, a free mobile device app that allows customers to track the location of PAT’s transit buses from their mobile device.
“This new mobile app provides patrons of our transit system an additional means of obtaining critical bus information. The City is continually improving our customer service and responding to the needs of the communities we serve.” comments City Manager William E. Johnson, III.
Route Shout allows PAT riders more ways to connect with PAT in real-time. Helping to meet customers’ needs and staying in line with PAT’s commitment to providing exceptional customer service, customers can now access real-time bus tracking, view PAT bus routes, view route maps, see bus stops along bus routes and see the arrival time of a bus on all stops along its route. Route Shout will also notify rider if a bus is running late. This free mobile app can be downloaded to any smart phone, IPhone, computer or tablet for free via the AppStore or Google Play.
“PAT serves over 400,000 riders annually and it is our job to get them where they need to go and keep them in the know. Route Shout promotes ridership growth and is definitely a step in the right direction.” says PAT General Manager Dironna Moore-Belton.
PAT strives to continue to improve our services and rider’s experiences. Additional information on using Route Shout can be obtained by contacting PAT Customer Service at (804) 733-2460.
