City government offices, including City Hall, the City Hall Annex and the Petersburg Freedom Support Center, will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. Offices will reopen at normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26.
Monday’s closings also include Petersburg Area Transit (PAT). There will be no buses running and the administrative offices will be closed. Petersburg Public Library, Parks and Leisure Service and Animal Care and Control offices will also be closed.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will operate 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Petersburg Museums will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, May 25. The Visitor’s Centers will open at 9 a.m. Centre Hill Museum is closed for filming through June. In addition, several Memorial Day events are scheduled at Blandford and People’s Cemetery.
Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) residential recycling and trash collections will be delayed one day. No collections will be made on Monday; thus all collections during this week will occur on the day following the normal collection day. Friday collections will occur on Saturday.
