Petersburg Government Offices Closed in Observance of Thanksgiving Holiday
Petersburg City government offices will close early at 12:30pm on Wednesday, November 25th and will be closed on November 26th and 27th in observance of Thanksgiving.
Closed offices include: City Hall, City Hall Annex, Fiscal Management Building, Parks & Leisure Services, Office of Development and Operations, Blandford Cemetery Records Office, Social Services, Petersburg Public Library (drive thru), Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) Administrative offices, and Petersburg Freedom Support Center.
Offices will reopen during normal business hours on Monday, November 30, 2020.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will remain open during their normal business hours on November 25 and 27. Dogwood Trace will be open from 8am-2pm on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26). The Grille at Dogwood Trace will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Petersburg Area Transit Bus service (including Para-Transit) will operate on regular schedule on November 25th and 27th. Bus service (including Para-Transit) will not operate on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26).
Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) residential recycling and residential trash collections will be delayed one day in observance of Thanksgiving. There will be no collections on Thanksgiving Day.
BLUE THURSDAY and BLUE FRIDAY residential recyclers will have a one-day delay in recycling collection service due to the holiday. Friday collections will take place on Saturday.
Thursday and Friday residential trash collections in Petersburg will occur on the day following your normal scheduled day. Friday collections will take place on Saturday.
