Petersburg Government Offices Closed In Observance of Thanksgiving Holiday

City government offices will close early at 12:30pm on Wednesday, November 27th and will be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.  

Closed offices include: City Hall, City Hall Annex, Parks & Leisure Services, and Blandford Cemetery Records Office.  

Offices will reopen during normal business hours on Monday, December 2, 2019.   

Dogwood Trace Golf Course will open for regular hours on Wednesday, November 27th, open 8:00 am - 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 28th, and regular hours on Friday, November 29th. 

Petersburg Freedom Support Center will be closed Wednesday-Friday (November 27-29) and will reopen during regular business hours on Monday, December 2nd.

Petersburg Department of Social Services will be open from 8:00am -12:00pm on Wednesday, November 27th and will be closed November 28th and 29th.  

Petersburg Public Library will open from 10am-1pm on Wednesday, November 27th and will be closed November 28th & 29th. The library will open for regular hours on Saturday, November 30th.   

Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) Administrative offices will also close at 12:30pm on Wednesday, November 27th and will be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th.  PAT Bus service (including Para-Transit), PAT ticketing office, and Greyhound will operate during their regular hours on Wednesday, November 27th and Friday, November 29th. There will be no bus service on Thanksgiving Day (28th).  

Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA)Thursday (28th) and Friday (29th) residential recycling and residential trash collection will be delayed one day, there will be no collections on Thanksgiving Day. BLUE  THURSDAY and BLUE  FRIDAY recyclers will have a one-day delay in recycling collection service due to the holiday. Friday collections will take place on Saturday.
