City of Petersburg Government Offices Closed on Tuesday
Due to current weather conditions, the City of Petersburg Government Offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
Employee Reporting:
· Essential employees must report on their regular schedule.
· Non-essential personnel will work from home.
Service Changes and Closures:
· No bus service on Tuesday.
· The Comfort Station at Petersburg Area Transit will remain open 24 hours until further notice.
Courts:
· All Courts and the Sheriff’s Office will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 27.
Trash Collection:
· Meridian Waste will begin collecting trash on cleared roadways on Tuesday. Please expect trash service to remain at least one day behind schedule for the remainder of the week.
Safety and Road Conditions:
· Petersburg Public Works crews are actively treating roads, while the Police and Fire Departments continue to monitor conditions.
· Stay off the roads if possible to allow crews to clear streets efficiently.
· Utilize off-street parking.
