Petersburg Government Offices Closed for New Year Holiday
Petersburg City government offices will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2024, in observance of the New Year holiday. Offices will reopen during normal business hours on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will be open on Sunday, December 31, 2023 and Monday, January 1, 2024. Visit www.dogwoodtracegolf.com/ for available tee times.
The following are New Year holiday operating hours for Petersburg Area Transit Bus Operations:
Saturday, December 30 - PAT closing:
County Drive last run 12:45 pm,
Richard Bland/South Crater Express last run at 12:45 pm,
Walnut Hill's last run 12:45 pm,
City of Hopewell's last run 12:45 pm,
South Park Mall, South Crater Rd. Blandford, Halifax St., Washington St./Lee Ave., and Ettrick’s last runs are at 1:15 pm.

CVWMA recycling and trash collections will be delayed during the week of New Year’s. There will be no collection on Monday, January 1. All collections will slide to the following day, with Friday collections moving to Saturday. Live undecorated Christmas trees can be disposed of by placing them on the curb next to your trash cart and will be picked up on your regular trash collection day. Trees will not be recycled.
