– The Petersburg Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 6th Annual Festival of Grapes and Hops on Saturday, September 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Historic Old Towne Farmer’s Market located at 9 East Old Street. Come sip and celebrate Petersburg’s history through a variety of featured wineries, breweries, popular restaurants and food trucks.
Food and drink tastings will be available, along with an art show featuring Petersburg Area Art League artists and several artisans and crafters will be on site. The River City Katz will provide musical entertainment.
“The annual Festival of Grapes and Hops has become a staple for the City of Petersburg,” comments City Manager, William E. Johnson, III. “We invite residents and visitors to come enjoy this great festival and experience the great amenities of Petersburg.”
Tickets for tasters are $15 in advance ($20 at the gate) and $10 in advance for non-tasters ($15 at the gate). Children 12 and under are free. Ticket includes samples of wine and beer and a commemorative festival wine or beer glass.
