When requesting new service, the following items are required:
1. Lease, HUD-1 or Deed:
a. A legal and current rental agreement or a notarized statement from the owner, showing proof of property residency.
b. Documentation insuring ownership of property if deed has not been recorded. If deed has not been updated through our Assessor’s Office a fully executed HUD-1 Statement or a copy of the Deed is acceptable. If closing is delayed, the owner of the property may give a lease or a notarized statement prior to closing for early possession. i. The Utility Billing Office can verify ownership of property by calling the Assessor’s Office or by systemically viewing an updated deed.
2. Government issued Identification required of all responsible parties, over the age of 18, on the Deed or carried on Lease.
3. Establishing service will require a deposit. Deposits may be up to $75.00.
3. A $25.00 fee will be assessed on the FIRST monthly bill. This is a service fee for setting up the account and having a technician go on-site to read, turn-on, or install a meter.
4. If water cannot be turned on successfully during the first trip due to something running in the house, there will be a $15.00 fee assessed for each trip after the first. Please make sure all faucets are in the OFF position if you cannot be at the location to avoid these additional charges.
