Holiday Hours for Petersburg Government Offices

Petersburg City government offices will be closed on Thursday, December 24; Friday, December 25; and Friday, January 1 in observance of the Christmas and New Year holidays. 

Closed offices include: City Hall, City Hall Annex, Fiscal Management Building, Parks & Leisure Services, Office of Development and Operations, Blandford Cemetery Records Office, Social Services, Petersburg Public Library (drive-thru), Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) Administrative offices, and Petersburg Freedom Support Center. 

Dogwood Trace Golf Course will close at 2:00pm on December 24 and closed on December 25. Dogwood Trace will open for regular hours on December 31 and January 1. 

Petersburg Area Transit Bus service (including Para-Transit) will end regular route operation at 4:15pm on Thursday, December 24 and Thursday, December 31. Bus service (including Para-Transit) will not operate on December 25 and January 1.  

Petersburg Circuit Court Clerk’s Office will close at 12:00pm on Wednesday, December 23 and reopen at 8:00am on Monday, December 28. The Circuit Court Clerk’s Office will be closed on December 31 and January 1. 

The Petersburg Commissioner of the Revenue Office will close at 3:00pm on Wednesday, December 23 and reopen Monday, December 28 at 9:00am.

There will be no CVWMA residential recycling or residential trash collections on December 25 and January 1. All Friday collections will have a one-day delay. Recycling accepted items from holiday celebrations is encouraged! Please breakdown gift boxes and cardboard.

BLUE FRIDAY residential recycling collections will be on a one-day delay due to the Christmas holiday. In addition, all Friday residential trash customers in Petersburg will have a one-day delay. All Friday collections will take place on Saturday.

RED FRIDAY residential recycling collections will be on a one day delay due to the New Year’s Day holiday. In addition, all Friday residential trash customers in Petersburg will have a one-day delay. All Friday collections will take place on Saturday.
